Want to Help?

We're taking them in.

A few days ago we found a mother cat and her three kittens huddled in a shed in the alley out back.  We thought they were best left there for a few more days if we provided food and water for mama. However, the spot was disturbed and she moved her family to another spot.

Fortunately, we found their new hideaway today and were able to give a very hungry mama some more food. Our plan: put out a live trap tomorrow and lure the mother in with wet food. Then, stand by as the kittens come to her, and scoop them up. Then, we will take care of the family as best we can: mother gets spayed, and hopefully adopted.  Kittens get socialized, shots, spayed/neutered, and adopted.

This is clearly the right thing to do. Unfortunately, it's also clearly bad timing. Even with the great resources available from nonprofit groups, taking in a  family of four kitties is an added cost to our existing brood.

If you are so inclined, please consider clicking on the "Donate" button on the right, or the one below, to help fund the care of the of mama and the kittehs. Anything you donate will go directly toward their vet bills and food. In the event we have any surplus funds after getting them medical care and finding them all homes, we will donate the rest to http://www.alleycat.org/ (or another nonprofit rescue group if you contact me directly).

Mama thanks you!
